The PLC Podcasts - Episode Five

"The first season of my podcast serie has come to an end. France will be the last episode and it's probably the one I like the most. First, because obviously I'm proud to be able to make a full section of the place I'm from, and to show that France has great waves too made for bodyboarding. France is not a place you see a lot in bodyboarding DVDs compared to the surfing ones (Scratching The Surface, Modern Collective..) and I think it's always refreshing to see a destination you don't see a lot in the media.

I moved to France from Morroco when I was 12-years-old with my sister and my mum. We moved because of family reasons, but even if at the time it was just a dream to become a pro bodyboarder, we came to France with the hope that this dream will come true.

I started the normal path by doing regionals and nationals comps; I actually won the nationals the first year I entered in the grom s category and everyone was like "Who's that kid?”

I then got my first sponsors and was really happy to get free products from a brand like Rip Curl and I never imagine that one day they will pay me to follow my dream.

So, France is where everything started, first comps, first loss', first wins, first sponsors, first big moves … I always like coming back and I will always do, I get to see my family, my friends and also because when the conditions are on, I get to surf some of the best beachbreaks in the world.

Thanks for everyone who s been watching all the episodes. This season has attracted more than a 100,000 viewers and I hope next one will be as succesful, if not better.

Big thanks to all the filmers and Riraw TV for his long hours editing all those clips.

Stay tuned for Season 2 : First episode – Hawaii 2011
