"The second episode of my podcast series is now online featuring the destinations of Mexico and Chile this year; two of the places I had the best waves in 2011.
It was my first time in Mexico and I loved it. To get footage, it's probably the best place I've been in my life. This place is just so consistent in terms of swells, you can surf fun waves everyday and that's what I did. Puerto Escondido is the best place to go on a surf trip if you're is prority is to surf pumping waves as much as possible.
In Chile this year, instead of going straight to Arica to train for the contest, I went one week in Iquique with Sam Bennett.We scored some decent waves and we even surfed in the afternoon which I've never done in Chile before of the wind, but Iquique is different from Arica, it can be glassy all day.
For this episode, I decided to ask one of the best editors in the bodyboarding movie industry to work on the project, Todd Barnes the maker of the succesful movies Video, Roam, Thrash & Thrash'd. It's been a long time since I wanted him to make a section of me. I really admire his work and his creativity. I'm very proud we made this podcast together and I'm sure it won't be the last one.
