Day 1 at the Peruvian Inka Challenge

For all involved in the Peruvian Inka Challenge, today was a massive relief, as the comp began in great waves. So far we've only received reports in very broken English or translated web pages (so be sure to keep returning to riptidemag.com.au for updates.), but as you can see from the shots, the waves were firing. The first day of competition featured the brightest of Peruvian bodyboarding talent, all vying for a chance to challenge the big names of the IBA World Tour. And they didn't hold back, with numerous reports of broken fins and boards and sore bodies going hand-in-hand with tales of big busts and deep, heavy toobs.

Chad Jackson is the first Australian to hit the water in Heat 19, so be sure to tune in tonight and watch it live.
