The swell finally picks up in Arica.
It was a day of upsets for the Australians in the sixth round of the Arica Chilean Challenge as the grommet, Tom Rigby beat current World Champion Uri Valadao, and Ryan Hardy was knocked out of the comp by Brad Hughes and Mark McCarthy.
Ben Player, Pierre-Louis Costes, Mike Stewart, Jeff and Dave Hubbard and Amaury Leaverne also made it into the next round. These men are some of bodyboarding's top dogs so be sure to check into the live video feed of the event tonight.
Unfortunately our poor photographer, Chris, was feeling ill today and unable to leave his bed. Thus we can only offer the accompanying shots from the Challenge website. There's a comprehensive gallery there for you to peruse though.
