Saturday Dec 10th
Blustery conditions greeted competitors this morning with the swell still hovering around the 3-4 foot range at Fronton. A few people opted to get wet at nearby La Guacha, while 2009 and 2010 World Champs Jeff Hubbard and Amaury Laverhne still found some bowls and barrels at lumpy, bumpy Fronton.
For most though, it was time for some well earned rest and relaxation. Some made a mission to the mountains for some sublime views at the 1500m peak, some kept busy with tennis, swimming and stretching and most (including most of Spain) will be watching “The Classico” this evening, a battle between football giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. Your roving Riptide reporter is calling a 3-1 victory for the Catalans!
Hasta manana peeps!
Will it be wild and windy again (like 2010 pictured here) for the finals? We’ll have to wait and see...
