A Kat Loose in the Canaries - Promo & Party Times

Celebrate good times - c’mon!
The last few days here in the Yellowbird Islands have been a somewhat hectic combination of partying and promotion. The work was far from over for Jase and Pierre on their first night as champions as they headed to Danny Hernandez’s LINK bodyboard store with some of the other boys for a promo. Awaiting our arrival was also a care package from RT HQ with copies of the latest mag. There was grommet-like froth amongst all the fellas with everyone stoked on the new format and quality. Not a bad rag indeed!  Later the booze flowed freely in celebration of the guys achievements. Glasses were cheers’d, shots were shot and beer was sprayed in a thoroughly messy affair. Well-deserved fun.

The following day was the official IBA dinner and after-party, which, though enjoyable enough, was a bit of a letdown from presentations past, especially considering people had either stayed around, or flown in for the privilege. Just saying… Nonetheless, spirits were high and the dance floor was packed till the early hours. A fittingly energetic end to what has been an extraordinary year.

I’m sure like me, you’ll already be looking forward to the next chapter kicking off at Pipe in February next year! Good and new.
