Gold Coast photographer and South Stradbroke Island diehard Mickey Edwards has been on a round the world tour the last seven months.
After stints in the Phillipines, Hawaii and Canada, he is now kicking back in the land of cheap cervezas, beautiful women and intimidating sand-bottom barrels.
Mr Edwards managed to take time from his daily routine of waves and post-surf burritos to flick us a gallery just to make us all feel just little bit more jealous.
“I’ve been travelling all over the world the last seven months and now I’ve found myself in one of bodyboarding oldest playgrounds Mexican Pipeline, Zicatela beach, Puerto Escondido, this is the 4th time I’ve been here and I’ve never been disappointed, well not for long anyway.”
“When I come here I Stay at Aqualuna which is owned by Clive one of the old Straddie guys from the Gold Coast back home.”
“There’s always a good crew of people at Aqualuna who always seem to become instant mates and we all go surfing together and if the swell is a bit on the shitty side then we go to the rodeos together.”
“For the first time I got to go feed crocodiles with a few crew just at a random river that leads to the ocean so that was a little crazy.”
“I’m not sure who the guys are in these photos but the guy on the yellow board is a local guy and all the locals are pretty good there’s definitely a few shredders.”
“And yeah, that’s Clive in the water shot!”
